Supporting You Through the Assessment Process
We aim to ensure your assessment experience is clear, efficient, and as stress-free as possible.
During Your Assessment
We recognise that impairment assessments can feel unfamiliar or even daunting. Our priority is to make sure you feel comfortable, informed, and treated with respect at every stage of the process.
At your appointment:
-
You will be seen by a medical specialist with expertise in impairment assessment
-
The specialist will discuss your injury history, current symptoms, and how they affect your daily function
-
The examination may include assessment of movement, strength, or functional capacity, where appropriate
-
You do not need to bring medical records unless we have specifically asked you to do so
Appointments typically run for 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the nature and complexity of the condition being assessed. Prior to your visit, the specialist will have reviewed all relevant medical information provided in relation to your claim.

What to Bring With You
To help your assessment run smoothly, please bring:
-
A list of any medications you are currently taking
-
The names of any healthcare professionals you have consulted about your injury or condition
-
Information about where any imaging (such as X-rays, CT scans, or MRIs) was performed
-
Comfortable, suitable clothing that allows easy access to the area being assessed
-
A support person if you wish — we’re happy to accommodate this
After Your Appointment
Once the assessment is complete, a detailed report will be prepared and forwarded to the referring party. We focus on delivering reports promptly while carefully considering all available information to ensure accuracy and reliability. Your referrer will be able to provide you with access to the completed report.
